As for how Sterling Ridge got its name, "Sterling" refers to the fact the village was developed in 1999, the 25th anniversary of The Woodlands. It borders the Carlton Woods Country Club and is home to the Gary Player Golf Course. The Village of Sterling Ridge has been growing steadily and is now home to over 2600 residents and has a total of about 900 homes so far.
There are a large variety of homes in Sterling Ridge: Custom homes and Golf Course Homes whose prices range from around $ 180,000 up to about $ 2 million. These homes can be found in neighborhoods like Artist Grove, Scribewood, Abram Woods, Old Sterling, BeckonVale, Sterling Pointe, Pepperdale, Star Ridge, Strawberry Canyon and Bantam Woods among others.
